LetterPop 8
Letter Pop 8 is a word game designed for any age player, from a young child just learning to read to any age adult that enjoys a challenge. It can be a fun way to increase memory, hand and eye coordination. The key to making the game a challenge is you choose how fast or slow the letters pop up and how many letters the word contains. To add to the difficulty, from the Settings screen you can also choose to rotate the letters when they pop up. Most of the words are not normally used in everyday conversation, that is where the memory challenge comes in. There are more than 114,600 words in Letter Pop 8, so there is a wide variety of words available.
The game is simple to play, from the main screen select whether you want a Three to Eight letter word. You can adjust the speed slider between 4 seconds to 1/4 second. After pressing the Play button a random word will be displayed for the amount of time selected on the speed slider then the word will disappear. Random letters will pop up in different locations on the screen, when you see a letter from the displayed word press on it and it will be shown in the correct location in the word. Each letter in the displayed word will be in the letters that pop up but will be in random order, if you see a letter in the word press on it whether it is in the beginning, middle or end of the word. A letter in the word may only pop up once so when you see it press on it then, that letter may not pop up again. There are a limited number of letters that pop up before the game ends. If you press an incorrect letter a red X will appear and on the third incorrect selection the game will end.
